What a game! Set a target of only 179 runs to tie the series, Pakistan were outdone by the attack of Nathan Hauritz as Australia’s determination secured a stunning win of 36 runs to lead the Three Test match series 2-0.
Ony Pakistan can come from a near sure win and loose a game, but then again it’s a strong new Aussie side determined to become the super power of world cricket.
Cricket is a game of strength, skill, tact and high drama that culminates when the last ball is bowled and your heart regain it’s regular beat.

Hello cricket lovers, it’s a new year, new dawn and a new era of cricket.
I join in at the end of the Second ODI match of the Tri Nation Tournament being played in Bangladesh between India and Sri Lanka.
SL won the toss and chose to field and inevitibly the 4 points at days end with a comfortable win by 5 wickets and 12 balls to spare. Thilan Samaraweera belted an unbeatable 105 of 146 balls for an average of 99.5!!!!
Lets head over to Australia now.
Well it seems the Aussie’s started this new era the same way they ended the last. Australia won the toss, decided to bat and paid a rather severe penalty for their rashness, posting a measely 127 in their first innings.
Then the Pakistani’s posted a combined resistence of 333 runs.
It’s day 4 in the Second Test and the Aussie’s are battling to try and salvage some pride. Shane Watson and Mike Hussey the two warriors instilling pride for the home team.

Hello cricket fans. This is so cool. My name is Kristian Ramsingh and I love the sport called cricket!!!!. I saw my first game at the Queens Park Oval in Trinidad when the Windies were playing India.
I love the regional T’dad and T’go cricketing team amd I think Daren Ganga (skipper) is doing an excellent job at the helm.
My favourite player is the hard hitting R.H batsman Kieron Pollard. My favourite International Cricketer is from New Zealand, Daniel Vettori.
When I grow up, I want to be an Astronaut and in my spare time I would like to be playing cricket for the W.I. as well.

Expectations were high in the Caribbean Islands and the 1.3 million population of Trinidad and Tobago were praying as they prepared to toast their cricket team’s victory in IPL T20 final against New South Wales in Hyderabad, especially after the attack restricted the Blues to 159 for 9.

Alas! It was not meant to be. Congratulations NSW. They’ve been an in-form team along with T&T throughout the ACLT20 tournament and won comfortably by 41 runs. The Blues were hurt by T&T but Lee’s 48 proved match-winning. Lee further put the hurt on T & T when he bowled a fiery opening spell in which he took two wickets, then he held the crucial catch of Pollard in the last over.

Sad end to what has been a fascinating campaign by T&T. They played wonderful cricket throughout and stumbled at the end. Five consecutive wins, fans in the Caribbean have every reason to be proud of them. T & T has dazzled the world but today no one really stood out for the Caribbean isle. T&T were been beaten by 41 runs. The man who did was an Australian. It was Lee’s match.

NSW Blues, lifted by a spectacular all-round effort from Brett Lee and a great performance on the field. Brett Lee’s career best knock of 48 off 31 could not have come at a better time for his team. He came in to bat when his side were reeling under the T&T onslaught. And when he came out to bowl, he took two wickets early on, making it an ominous start for T&T. What made it a superb all-round outing for him was taking catch in the deep to dismiss the destructive Kieron Pollard.

Kieron Pollard’s dismissal for 25 in the 15th over off a Hauritz delivery. Had the run machine from T&T stayed on, it could have been a red letter day in West Indies’ cricketing history. A thunderous six off Pollard’s bat and Hauritz’s bowling in the 15th over that travelled high over long-on and landed somewhere in the third tier of the stands. Pollard, and T&T’s chances, were dismissed in the very next delivery.

A straight, good length delivery that couldn’t resist the invitation that William Perkins’exposed stumps offered. It was just the second ball of the innings, delivered by the magician of the day, Brett Lee

Trinidad & Tobago have been the team to follow in the competition, blending an accomplished exuberance with a ballistic approach with the bat to stunning effect. Attempting to stop the Cape Cobras, who topped their group and held their nerve against Victoria. They haven’t been nearly as devastating as T&T, evening showing signs of susceptibility in their last game, but the Cobras are a quality side.

At a time when West Indian cricket is going through turmoil, a band of merry marauders has given Caribbean cricket fans much to be proud of. Daren Ganga’s team has taken Twenty20 cricket in India by storm, but few should be surprised by their success: three regional one-day titles and the Stanford 20/20 prize testify to their limited-overs prowess. Cobras be warned, T&T coach Kelvin Williams has said that the best was yet to come.

The 15-member Australian squad led by skipper Ricky Ponting has arrived at the Shivaji Chhatrapati International Airport in Mumbai to play seven ODI matches series against India.

The Mumbai police escorted the Australian squad to their hotel in the Bandra under the tight security cover. Six members of the Australian team are already playing the cash rich and lucrative T20 Champions League and they will join the team after end of tournament on 23rd October.

Australia had thrashed the host England 6-1 in September before successfully defending their Champions Trophy crown in South Africa earlier this month. Australia is currently placed at the top of the ICC ODI rankings followed by the Indian team.

Australian squad for the ODI series includes Ricky Ponting (captain), Michael Hussey (vice-captain), Doug Bollinger, Nathan Hauritz, Jon Holland, Ben Hilfenhaus, James Hopes, Mitchell Johnson, Brett Lee, Shaun Marsh, Tim Paine, Peter Siddle, Adam Voges, Shane Watson and Cameron White.

The boys in red, white and black are confident of further stepping up their game in Thursday semi-final as Trinidad and Tobago face Cape Cobras in their CLT20 in Hyderabad, India

T&T coach Kelvin Williams and skipper Daren Ganga were both in high praise of the players and dismissed any notion they have peaked in their performances in the US$6 million tournament.

“I think we are taking one game at a time and come Thursday, it will be a semi-final and our preparation will be towards that game. We have not peaked as yet,” the coach insisted.

Those comments come on the heels of Trinidad and Tobago’s most recent outing against Diamond Eagles, on Sunday, when they blasted the tournament top score of 213 for four to secure a 24-run victory and power their way into the semis, where they will be up against South Africa representatives Cape Cobras, who lost to Delhi Daredevils by 30 runs yesterday.

Ganga says that the national squad have the depth and ability to continue raising their game and one of the main reasons they have been able to do that is because of their preparation.

“In every match we always try to minimise our mistakes from previous games. We have one practice session tomorrow night (today) and another on Wednesday night to make sure we fine-tune everything for the semi-final,” Williams added.

Skipper Ganga said they remained very confident going into the semis and insisted his team had a lot more to offer the Indian crowds, who have warmed to their style of cricket.

The skipper did not make any definite statements that Adrian Barath or Navin Stewart, who were both outstanding in their first outing of the tournament against the Eagles, would play.

Barath announced his arrival to international T/20 cricket with a 41-ball 63, while Tobago-born Stewart celebrated with an 11-ball 33.

Diamond Eagles no match for Humming Birds. Posting the highest score of 213 in the CLT20 thus far, Darren Ganga’s men proved to be the most entertaining and exciting team to watch.
The Diamond Eagles has an uphill and difficult task ahead as they need a miracle to reach the target of 214 in 14.2 overs.
What an innings!!! T & T batsmen were scintillating. Every batsmen did their job, Wendell Perkins 35, Adrian Bharath (playing in his first International T20) 63, L Simmons 40, and Navin Stewart finished in style. With bats blazing fluid shots of 18 fours and 13 sixes, it seemes Michael Jacksons “Beat It’ were pulsating through their veins. The only 15 spectators who didn’t like the slugfest were the Eagles. Due to the tremendous success of all T & T players, the Selectors now face quite a dilemma to choose the XI players for the Semi’s.
